Welcome to my How to Golf Better website. I have set this site up to help the beginner learn how to golf properly and also for the intermediate golfer that wants to learn how to golf better.

So, within the articles on this site, you will find quality, informative and accurate golf advice. Unlike some of the golf tips websites, this one is written by a golfer and golf fan. I have been playing golf for over 35 years and throughout that time I have learned how to golf better.

There are many factors to consider when learning how to golf, from choosing the right golf balls and golf clubs to learning the mental game of golf and improving your flexibility. However, the most important component is the golf swing.

I want you to consider the two golf swing styles below; the first one is called The Simple Golf Swing and it is the best golf swing to learn if you are a complete beginner. The second one is called The Full Swing and it is the ideal golf swing for those golfers that are struggling or frustrated with their swing.

The Simple Swing is by David Nevogt and it is also known as the Golf Swing Guru; this is the same swing that I adopted several years ago that finally ended a couple of decades of frustration.

The secret to this system lies in its utter simplicity; if you have a handicap of 12 or higher then simplifying your swing is the best and quickest way to achieve improvement. This system breaks down the swing into 5 simple steps that every golfer can master in a very short amount of time.

Add amazing distance to every drive and cut strokes off your handicap with the only instruction system proven to help almost any golfer dramatically improve their Power, Accuracy and Consistency.

The Full Swing was developed by Bobby Eldridge of Purepoint Golf. He is a golf instructor that wanted to develop a simpler golf swing to teach his students. The result is this Golf Swing Book that is so easy and simple to learn that it has a success rate of 95%.

This golf swing will have your shots flying longer and straighter, give unbelievable consistency to your drives, and become so easy and natural that you will drop into it time after time without even thinking about it.

Apart from the Full Swing Book, you also get his Full Swing DVD and full membership to his year long Golf Apprentice Program. The Full Swing book is guaranteed to help add distance to your drives, lower your handicap, and have you playing the best golf of your life in just 2 short weeks.

What You Need to Know if You Want to Learn How to Golf Better

You will NOT learn how to golf better by buying the newest, most expensive golf clubs; buying dozens of golf swing aids; trying to copy a PGA Tour professional golf swing; constantly experimenting with different swing styles; or changing to a belly putter or a long putter.

The Best Golf Swing

To learn how to golf better, you need to understand that the best golf swing is your own golf swing. Sure, it is a good idea to learn the fundamental swing mechanics and techniques and to settle on one swing style (like one of the two swing systems mentioned above), but do not get caught up seeking the perfect golf swing or trying to copy a Tour professional’ swing.

The illusive perfect golf swing does not exist and is not important; what is important is making consistent and perfect impact with the ball. Just look at the many different swing styles on the PGA Tour – some are very unconventional looking but they get the job done, that is hitting the ball straight and long down the middle of the fairway.

As long as you get all the basic components right that are involved in the golf swing then you will have the foundation for achieving a good, consistent golf swing. Check out the articles in the Golf Swing Tips category to learn the basics; like the golf grip, the setup, address position, backswing, and downswing. These golf swing tips articles are based on The Full Swing by Bobby Eldridge that I mentioned above.

Golf Clubs, Golf Balls and Golf Aids

Golf Clubs: One of the mistakes that many golfers make is to buy the latest and greatest golf driver, hybrids, putters, and other golf clubs. They believe the marketing hype that these clubs will make all the difference to their game. The golf clubs manufacturers spend millions each year to convince golfers to part with their hard earned money to buy their latest offerings. Their reasoning is that because the technology is changing constantly, then they should upgrade to this year’s latest and improved golf equipment

All I can say is that the golf clubs that you choose have to be the right ones for your game. Make sure that the golf clubs are suitable for you; buy clubs with the correct shaft length, shaft material, flex, grip size, and head design for your game, physical attributes, and style of golf – you could try out some of the game improvement clubs that are available nowadays. You will find more information in the best golf clubs category; you will discover which are the best golf clubs for your game and where to buy them at the cheapest price.

Golf Balls: The same goes for choosing the right golf ball for your game; you have to take into consideration the characteristics of each golf ball type; spin, feel, distance, and control. For, example, if your natural tendency is to fade the ball then you might want a ball with less spin because a higher spinning ball could result in a slice instead of just a fade.

In the golf balls category you will find information on how to choose the right golf ball for your game, a golf ball comparison chart, and also where to buy golf balls cheaply. You will also learn about the difference in quality between new and used golf balls and where to buy used golf balls that have been carefully graded.

Golf Aids: Although there are a few good golf aids available to help you with your golf swing, swing faults, putting, grip, etc., there are also hundreds of other golf aids that are a waste of money. If you have a persistent golf swing problem and you have tried all the conventional methods of trying to fix that fault, then there might be a golf swing aid that can help you overcome the problem.

You should search online for as many unbiased reviews for the golf swing aid specific to your requirements to see what other golfers and professionals think about it before investing in one. In the golf training aids category, you will find information on choosing the best golf swing aids and golf practice equipment so that you can practice golf at home.
