There are as many hypotheses for the ideal golf swing as there are golf swing coaches. Why so much confusion? Well, about 100 years back, there wasn’t any high speed photography to help investigate the biomechanics of the golf swing. Coaches had to depend on the naked eye to attempt to investigate certain swing faults, and as a consequence, there was a large amount of guessing and rationalizing.
That is why there were plenty of misplaced ideas spread about the correct golf swing that have been taken as fact for almost a Century. Now, thanks to the understanding of the biomechanics of the golf swing through scientific research, new swing methods have developed and been put about as “secrets” of how to swing a golf club properly.
I read the original book called The Four Magic Moves to Winning Golf by Joe Dante which was released in 1962, and I was impressed to learn that there are indeed four magic moves which will significantly lower your handicap.
Later on, Andy Brown, together with Len Elliot and Joe Dante released an e-book version called The New Four Magic Moves. However, The New Four Magic Moves to Winning Golf program has just recently been reintroduced and it is better than ever. That is why I decided to write this review as I believe that The Four Magic Moves golf package is a well worthwhile resource for every serious golfer to own.
The older version of this program was sold as an e-book with the option of audio course. However, it now includes a video, a 155 page step-by-step e-book consisting of 11 chapters, 56 pictures, plus 12 Audio MP3 files, and 12 iPod Audiobooks.

The First Three Chapters
The course starts with how you have to wipe the slate clean and begin over, and go on with the most important part; eliminating errors. As the authors point out, it is not a succession of great shots that make for a good round of golf; it’s the elimination of mistakes that produces the best results. When you consider it, one blunder off the tee that places you out of bounds or in the water can cost up to 3 or 4 shots – and that is just one error!
It then goes through the most prevalent of the classic misconceptions that cause the most damage in the golf swing. Misconceptions like; a light grip, pause at the top of the backswing, have the face open at the top, start down with a pull of the left arm, etc.
Next it goes into detail about each aspect of ways to hit a golf club correctly. They commence with the right grip and position; the grip decides the position of the club-face, and the position influences the trajectory of the club-head. Get these basics wrong and you’ll have a golf swing slice, hooks, fat or thin shots.
The golf swing is then broken down into 4 chapters; the backswing, at the top, beginning down, and the follow through. Each part shows you what not to do and just as importantly you will learn the “magic move” that you’ve got to do on each part of the swing – moves which will definitely improve your distance, accuracy, and consistency – leading to a drop of seven to twelve shots from your score.
The first of the four magic moves will cut strokes from your score; this really is where the magic starts! It is the key move and the foundation of the golf swing. Once you have learned the fourth magic move, the final stage of the full swing will be completed and all its mysteries explained.
Summary of The New Four Magic Moves Review

There’s lots of merit in The Four Magic Moves. Some have called it heretic and it does go against most of the conventional teachings but it works. You will find benefits in more than the full swing; you will soon be able to create incredible short pitches and chip shots with the most delicate control.
You have to read it carefully and be prepared to commit to the system and practice each of the “moves” over and over until it really sinks in. The section on the release and how COAM (Conservation Of Angular Momentum) will produce the lag needed for powerful shots is most enlightening – this is definitely not a simple golf swing like the Golf Swing Guru.
Here is one golf swing guide that I have no hesitation in endorsing, it really does give you four magic moves that go beyond standard golf instruction that will definitely take your game to a higher level. Go and check out The New Four Magic Moves to Winning Golf now and find out what all the fuss is about.
